My Dream Job
My dream job would be to teach in a little town where you know the majority of the people in the area. I want my students to be able to choose which outfit they want to wear instead of having to wear uniforms. This gives the students the opportunity to learn what type of clothes they like to wear. I hope the school I work at will get enough funds to be able to get all the supplies the students need.
As a teacher I want to really involve the parents to come help out in class when they can and get the parents really involved so that they know what is going on within their childs classroom and what their child is being taught. I hope to have a good friendship with all the parents. I also know that I will get a huge help with my other co-workers. They will help in times of when I don't necessarily know how to handle a situation or to get ideas on how to teach a certain subject. I want to be able to teach at a school where I love all the people that work there and especially the teachers in the grade I teach. I hope to work with a great principle as well.
I want my classroom to be filled with color but not to much that it is overpowering. I want enough color and posters on the walls that the classroom has a fun setting. On one side of the wall I will hang up the students work. The students notice this and really have fun pointing out where their paper is on the wall and it always makes the students want to do an even better job on the assignment. I also want to use new technology when I teach. On the Wii I know there are alot of fun games that deal with math that would really get the students attention and help them learn at the same time.
In my classroom I want to have plants by the windows and maybe even a class pet such as a fish. This really gets the students excited and helps them to learn about animals and plants. I want my classroom to be decorated and have a good feel that when the kids come into my class they will feel almost as if they were home.
